Requirements
- PHP 7.4 - 8.4 with PDO MySQL, cURL, OpenSSL, JSON and mbstring (standard on almost every host)
- MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+
- An SSL certificate (free Let's Encrypt/AutoSSL is fine)
Step 1 - Create a database
In cPanel open MySQL Databases. Create a new database (for example youruser_payfim), create a database user with a strong password, then add the user to the database with ALL PRIVILEGES.
Step 2 - Upload the gateway
Unzip your download. Upload the payfim folder into your website, for example public_html/payfim. You can also use a subdomain such as pay.yourdomain.com.
Step 3 - Run the installer
Open https://yourdomain.com/payfim/ in your browser. The installer checks your server, then asks for the database details, your store name, default currency, license key and an admin account. Click Install Payfim.
Upgrading from Payfim 1.x or 2.x? Upload the new files over the old ones, keep your existing config.php, and open the dashboard - the database upgrades itself and your wallets are kept.
Step 4 - Secure your dashboard
- Delete
install.php(it is locked, but removing it is best practice). - Go to Security and enable two-factor authentication.
- Set up the cron job for automatic confirmations.
