Use a wallet you control
Use a receiving address from a wallet where you hold the recovery phrase: a hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor), or software wallets such as Electrum, Exodus, Trust Wallet or TronLink. Avoid exchange deposit addresses - exchanges can change them and may not credit payments that arrive with unusual amounts.
Payfim only ever needs a public receiving address. Never paste a private key or seed phrase anywhere.
Add addresses
- Open Wallets & coins in your gateway dashboard.
- Paste the address next to each coin you want to accept. Payfim checks the format (for example a TRC20 address must start with
T). - Switch the coin on and click Save wallets.
- Click Test next to a coin to confirm the gateway can reach that blockchain.
Confirmations
Each coin has a sensible default. Raise it for high-value orders, lower it for small digital goods. Leave the field empty to use the default.
API keys for Ethereum-based coins
ETH, USDT-ERC20, USDC, LINK and HYPE are verified through the Etherscan API V2. Create a free key at etherscan.io and paste it under Blockchain APIs. BNB Smart Chain requires a paid Etherscan plan or a compatible endpoint.
Monero
Choose wallet RPC (most private - each invoice gets its own subaddress) or explorer + private view key (easiest). A view key can see incoming payments but can never spend.
