Connect HostBill

The Payfim payment module lets HostBill clients pay invoices with crypto through your own Payfim Gateway.

Before you start, install your Payfim Gateway and add your wallets (see Install the gateway and Add wallets). Compatibility: HostBill 2019+ · PHP 7.4 – 8.4.

1. Upload the module.

   Unzip payfim-hostbill.zip and upload the contents of upload/ to your HostBill root. This creates includes/modules/Payment/payfim/class.payfim.php.

2. Activate it.

   Go to Settings → Modules → Payment Modules, click Activate modules, select Payfim Crypto Payments and click Activate.

3. Enter your gateway details.

   Enter the Payfim Gateway URL and API Key (Payfim dashboard → Integrations), adjust the button text if you like and save. Enable the currencies you want to accept for this module.

   Tip: Make a small test payment after saving - HostBill payment modules have no test-connection button. If the gateway can't be reached, clients see "Crypto payment is temporarily unavailable" and the error is written to the gateway log.

4. How payments are recorded.

   Payfim calls the module's callback (?cmd=callback&module=payfim) with a signed webhook. The module re-checks the payment, compares it with the invoice total and adds a transaction whose ID is the blockchain transaction hash - HostBill then marks the invoice Paid. Duplicate notifications are ignored. Underpaid payments are written to the gateway log (Only X of Y received) and the invoice stays unpaid.

Troubleshooting

Clients see "temporarily unavailable"

Check Logs → Gateway Log for the error. Usually the URL or API key is wrong or the gateway is unreachable.

Webhook never arrives / invoice stays unpaid

Your billing site must be reachable from the Payfim gateway server over HTTPS. Check Webhooks in the Payfim dashboard for the delivery log and HTTP status; failed deliveries are retried automatically for 24 hours.
